Warehouse Management System
Project Overview
This project is a comprehensive Warehouse Management System (WMS) developed for ABC Company, a large-scale business operating across Pakistan. The system addresses the critical need to manage the flow of finished goods from a central warehouse in Rawalpindi to multiple distribution centers nationwide.
The core of the application is built on a robust PHP and MySQL backend, designed to maintain meticulous records of all incoming and outgoing products, manage a detailed chart of accounts, and generate insightful reports for strategic decision-making.
The Challenge
ABC Company lacked a centralized digital system to track inventory movement, leading to potential inaccuracies in stock levels, inefficient dispatching, and difficulty in generating timely reports. The primary challenge was to create a secure, multi-user platform that could not only log transactions but also provide a financial accounting framework (Chart of Accounts) and powerful, filterable reporting capabilities to guide business strategy.
Key Features
Admin & User Role Management
Secure login for administrators and registered users. Admins have full control to create new users and assign specific CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) permissions, ensuring data integrity.
Chart of Accounts
A fully functional accounting module that allows the admin to manage a hierarchical chart of accounts, including parent accounts, control accounts, and ledger accounts for precise financial tracking.
Voucher & Ledger Entry
Authorized users can perform essential data entry tasks, such as creating vouchers for stock movements and reviewing detailed ledger entries, forming the backbone of the inventory tracking system.
Advanced Reporting Engine
Generate a wide array of dynamic reports, including inventory levels, stock aging, stock value, and stock movement. Reports can be filtered item-wise, brand-wise, and by custom date ranges (day, week, month).
